The People's Operator - Fair Usage Policy

In order to ensure that we can provide a fast and reliable service to all our customers we operate a Fair Use Policy. The Fair Use Policy applicable to you will depend on whether you are a Pay Monthly (SIM only) customer or whether you are a Pay As You Go customer.

Our Fair Use Policy for Pay Monthly (SIM only) customers


The bundles included with our Pay Monthly SIMs include talk and text services and data. However, we reserve the right to suspend usage for fraud and/or if usage has a negative effect on our business for which such usage will be charged at a standard rate. We reserve the right to review these fair usage levels from time to time. Minutes are for your personal, non-commercial use only and we reserve the right to limit service to anyone whose usage negatively affects our business. You can make calls and/or send sms' to a maximum of 99 distinct number per month. The allowance set out in this fair use policy is based on minutes, texts and mobile internet browsing in the UK. Any use when you are abroad will be charged at the relevant international rate set out in our Price List.

 
Inclusive minutes: Are for calls to UK landlines which start with the prefix 01,02, 03, and UK mobile networks. Your inclusive minutes include listening to voicemail in the UK and dialling our customer services department using our short code "500".

Inclusive texts: Are for texts to UK mobile networks. They do not include short-code texts to other services. Your inclusive texts are for person to person texts and do not include text message delivery notifications.

Inclusive mobile internet browsing: Your mobile internet allowance is subject to the price plan that you choose. TPO do not cap customer data usage and you are responsible for setting alerts via your online account to ensure you avoid out of bundle data charges as per our advertised ratesYour inclusive allowance will be reset on the first working day of the following month. Mobile internet browsing applies within the UK only. Using your phone as a modem (tethering) is not permitted. You are only entitled to use our Pay Monthly (SIM only) services for personal, non-commercial use. We reserve the right to impose network protection controls, limit the speed of, suspend or block your access to services, or disconnect you if your usage is excessive and/or not in keeping with that reasonably expected of a private individual. We may also do any of these things if in our reasonable opinion you are abusing the services in any way. We will notify you by email before we take any of these steps.
 


Our Fair Use Policy for Pay As You Go customers

Our offer of inclusive calls and texts between TPO customers is subject to a fair use allowance of 250 text messages per month and 100 minutes per month. We will notify you by text message when you reach or exceed this allowance. If you exceed these allowance amounts we can charge you for the excessive element of your usage at the rates set out in our Price List. We reserve the right to review these fair usage levels from time to time.
